LSC GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

Lakeridge Lutheran Church (2 blocks N of the pool at 7465 South 112th Street)

Please join us to look at our upcoming swim season, ratify our budget and explore ways to commemorate our 50th Anniversary!

Besides looking back at ways to celebrate our history, your board has been planning for the future of the club as well. We have had some in-depth planning sessions with discussion around both a reserve study (basically, maintenance) and a master plan (improvements) to ensure a healthy future for our pool.

Thank you to all who responded to the surveys we sent - your input enables your board to make informed decisions.

Each membership represented at the general membership meeting has one vote on this year’s budget as well as any other decisions being made, and will earn five guest passes.

You will be receiving your 'official' invitation to the meeting, which will include the budget for the 2012 swim season by the second week of February.

The invoice for dues will be sent in early March. Dues will remain at $750, to be confirmed and voted upon at the General Membership meeting.

MAINTENANCE FEE

The board has determined that a fixed maintenance fee will best serve the club’s needs by providing a set amount of income for necessary maintenance and improvements to the property instead of and without the need for an increase in dues this year.

To that end, it has been decided that we will not be offering the option of ‘working off’ the maintenance fee and that work done will be in exchange for guest passes only.

We will be having work parties prior to opening this year (dates and jobs to be determined) so that members wishing to help may assist with getting the facilities ready for the season. Each four-hour block of work done earns 10 guest passes.

From our by-laws: ARTICLE VIII, DUES, FINES, ASSESSMENTS
1. Dues, fees, deposits, and assessments shall be sufficient to provide for the expenses of operation, maintenance, and improvement of the property and shall be paid as specified by the Board of Trustees.

Aqua Zumba® at LSC!

Aqua Zumba® is a 'pool-party' that includes the same great music and steps as a regular Zumba class, but are performed a bit slower than usual so that you can really take advantage of the water resistance. Aqua Zumba is performed so your upper body is above water (about armpit depth), using your arms below water to help with balance and to gain more resistance through your moves. Aqua Zumba is great for those who have joint problems or can’t take a regular Zumba class. Spread the word!

Classes held rain or shine.
