Lakeridge Swim Club is a part of the Seattle Summer Swim League's Southern Division. Our team swimmers range in age from 5 through 18 and in abilities from successfully achieving the other end of the pool through Age-group State Competitors. The goals of our swim team are individual improvement and having fun.
The Southern Division Pools have all filled out a SSSL Meet Hosting Questionnaire which provides you with further information about the other pools such as where to park and where the Lakeridge team area is once you get there.
At the bottom of this page, is the practice schedule and the swim meet schedule.
We also have links to:
The SSSL Qualifying Times and two different FAQ1 & FAQ2 regarding swim suits* as well as photos of each at the bottom of this page.
For directions to other swim clubs go to the List of Web sites of the other swim clubs. Each club website contains directions to that swim club.

New and Returning Coaches in 2010.
We are pleased to have Lisa Dahl joining us this year as head coach. She's a coach for CAAT (the Central Area Aquatic Team) and has over 20 years of experience coaching swimmers and is a masters swimmer herself. Also joining us new this year is Darren Grose, a KING 'developmental & novice' coach. We will have Tom Shonka, another CAAT coach, returning as one of our assistant coaches and Amy Bassett will again be our juniors coach.
Parents
We are asking all swim team parents to support the team by volunteering. New this year will be required ‘volunteer’ commitments from each family to help out with the team. This requirement can be met by helping out at concessions (several shifts are available each meet in addition to shopping, set up and clean up), timing, coordinating the pancake breakfast, swim-a-thon, etc. Volunteer opportunities will be listed on the registration forms – if you have any questions or suggestions, just ask! Each family will be required to volunteer several times throughout the swim season.…. it's the only way we can ensure our team's success and our collective sanity. Stay tuned for details!
To sign-up your swimmer, print out the Swim Team Registration form, the Code of Conduct, the Concussion Info Sheet and the SSSL Participation Form and bring them with your payment to the pool office.
We have a Swim Team Parent Handbook to get you started on learning the ins and outs of being part of the swim team and a 2010 (coming soon) Reference Material packet with important dates including the team schedule and other information you'll want throughout the season.

* A Note About 'Technical Suits'
High School rules now restrict the use of so-called "technical suits." This rule was created in time to get into the 2009-2010 rule book. Here is the wording:
"Swimmers shall be limited to one swimsuit, which shall be constructed of a woven/knit textile material, permeable to water and air, constructed so as not to aid in buoyancy, and shall not contain zippers or other fastening systems. In addition, the suit shall be constructed so that the style/shape for males shall not extend above the waist or below the top of the kneecap and for females shall not extend beyond the shoulders or below the top of the kneecap, and it shall not cover the neck."
* We'll have the same suit as last year - please check the Swimsuit FAQ Pages for details: Womens' Speedo Shining Star-Blue and Mens' Speedo Shining Star Jammer
